“Dramatis Personae”: une œuvre perdue de Marguerite Yourcenar

This article aims to retrace the evolution of Yourcenar’s lost work, Dramatis Personae, a collection mythological plays (Électre ou la chute des masques, Le Mystère d’Alceste, Qui n’a pas son Minotaure?) written during 1940s, period wrongly considered unproductive for author, in order understand importance this text writer’s literary production. Thanks some unpublished letters and recent publication correspondence with her editor Emmanuel Boudot-Lamotte, we can have more information about that, even if it was never published, represents an important stage development theatrical especially as regards Minotaure?, which reworked several times those years. Moreover, history collection’s preface is also remarkable, because Yourcenar readapted three previous articles (Mythologies), published before project form huge will turn be modified creating introductions definitive edition theatre.Finally, at shedding light on editorial issues had deal why been abandoned.
